PF Olsen Australia is a leading independent forest management services provider, managing forests for clients throughout Australia. We are seeking a suitably experienced person to assist with the management of our plantation operations in southern New South Wales.

Mangatu Blocks Incorporation manages ancestral lands in the Gisborne Region and have established interests in Forestry, Agribusiness, Meat Processing, and Viticulture. Mangatu Blocks Incorporation has over 5,000 hectares of Plantation Forests and 15,000 hectares of Indigenous Forests.

All forests are within easy daily commute distance from the office base located in Gisborne city.

An opportunity has arisen to assist with managing and growing the Forest business and sustainable land use activities into the future. This is a newly created position, and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and exposure to a variety of interesting work in land management.

Reporting to the Land and Forest Resource Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating forest establishment, silviculture, forest maintenance and protection operations. A key responsibility will be ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met within our Forestry contractor workforce.

Applicants should have;

  • A sound practical background of forest operations or other land based industries;
  • Good physical fitness;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills;
  • A can-do attitude with a strong willingness to learn;
  • A tertiary qualification in forestry or related, land based management is preferred but not essential.
